Volleyball Recap: Portland Takes a Loss

Portland lost against North Branford back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Highlanders came up short against the Thunderbirds, falling 3-0.

Portland took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-17, 25-21.

Molly Reilly paced Portland's offense, picking up five kills. Reilly really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Vivian Letitia controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Alexa Snedeker was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and two aces.

Portland's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for North Branford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Portland is set to square off against their familiar foe Coginchaug Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Branford will take on rival East Hampton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
