Volleyball Recap: Colleton Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Colleton Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors, falling 3-0. The War Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Colleton Prep Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Andrew Jackson Academy's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 26-24.

Leading Andrew Jackson Academy to victory were McKinnley Beard and Bella Carrigg. Beard had 27 kills and two blocks, while Carrigg had 39 assists. Beard is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Colleton Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-15-1. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colleton Prep Academy will host Patrick Henry Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they will welcome Holly Hill Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
