Basketball Recap: Miller County Takes a Loss

Miller County lost against Terrell County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Miller County Pirates fell 75-65 to the Terrell County Greenwave. While the Pirates didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Greenwave 21-14 in the first quarter.

Michael Carter was a one-man wrecking crew for Terrell County as he posted 28 points. Those 28 points gave Carter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cordarius Perry, who put up 15 points.

Miller County's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Terrell County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Miller County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-46 defeat against Bainbridge on the 28th. After both having extra time off, Terrell County and Pelham will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd. Terrell County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season.
