Basketball Game Preview: Aledo Bearcats vs. North Central Texas Academy Pioneers

Having just played yesterday, the Aledo Bearcats will jump right back in to play the North Central Texas Academy Pioneers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Aledo is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Aledo faced off against Cooper on Friday. Aledo blew past Cooper 77-36. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, North Central Texas Academy waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 66-55 victory over the Panthers. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Panthers are ranked 297th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aledo's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for North Central Texas Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 21-4.

Aledo took their win against North Central Texas Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a conclusive 62-37. Does Aledo have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Central Texas Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
