Basketball Recap: Aiden Jones Key Part of a Team Effort in Lions Win

Lighthouse Christian Academy lost to Pleasant View Christian back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Lighthouse Christian Academy Lions strolled past the Pleasant View Christian Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 63-48.

Lighthouse Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aiden Jones out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in points. Timothy Lautenbach was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.

Lighthouse Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Pleasant View Christian still got an impressive performance from Landon Wagler, who went 10 for 17 en route to 24 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. The game was Wagler's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Stoll, who posted nine points.

Lighthouse Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Pleasant View Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
