On Friday Atticus Gibbs pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The effort marked the fewest earned runs Gibbs has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with less than two walks. For the year, he has an ERA of 10.50 over 7.3 innings pitched.

Gibbs' effort led Midtown over Drew and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
