Football Game Preview: Glassboro Bulldogs vs. Deptford Spartans + How To Watch

The Glassboro Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Deptford Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Glassboro's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

On Saturday, Glassboro really took it to Woodbury for the full four quarters, racking up a 52-13 win. With the Bulldogs ahead 31-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Glassboro's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Oconnell led the charge by throwing for 232 yards and five touchdowns. Mekhi Parker was Oconnell's top target, picking up 137 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Another reason for the win was Glassboro's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Junior Serrano, Brandon Simmons Jr, and Maurice Davis Jr, who each picked up one sack apiece. Glassboro received some extra help from Marley Crowl, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, Deptford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 35-21 bruising from Egg Harbor Township.

Deptford now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Glassboro, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Glassboro against Deptford in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 51-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
