Football Game Preview: Langham Creek Lobos vs. Cypress Park Tigers + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Jordan King and Ja'Harvey Johnson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Langham Creek Lobos will host the Cypress Park Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Langham Creek earned a 38-28 win over Cypress Springs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lobos.

Langham Creek had a senior duo take command as Andre Salazar threw for 221 yards and two TDs on only 19 passes and Zaiden Swift picked up 177 receiving yards and one score. Swift's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cypress Park). In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 36-35 victory over Bridgeland. The win was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 804th, while the Bears are ranked 97th).

Cypress Park's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Langham Creek, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Langham Creek has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 400.7 total yards per game. It's a different story for Cypress Park, though, as they've been averaging only 233.8 total yards. Will Langham Creek be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Tigers flip the script?

Everything came up roses for Langham Creek against Cypress Park in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-0 victory. Will the Lobos repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
