Basketball Recap: Providence Academy Takes a Loss

Providence Academy lost against Elkins back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Providence Academy Patriots were outmatched by the Elkins Elks and fell 68-21. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Elks are ranked 49th).

Providence Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Elkins, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

While Providence Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
