Soccer Recap: Newburyport Comes Up Short

Newburyport lost against North Reading back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clippers came up short against the Hornets, falling 6-1. Newburyport were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Charlie Field, which was the first he's scored this season.

Newburyport's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North Reading, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Newburyport is set to face off against their familiar foe Pentucket Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Reading will take on rival Triton Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
