Preview: Bristol Panthers vs. Berkshire Badgers
The Bristol Panthers will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Berkshire Badgers at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Berkshire took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bristol, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Bristol was fully in charge, breezing past Chalker 41-6 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bristol.
Bristol got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Briauna Klingensmith out in front who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Gall, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 56-19, which was the final score in Berkshire's tilt against Bloom-Carroll on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Berkshire has scored all season.
The win got Bristol back to even at 4-4. As for Berkshire, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Bristol was able to grind out a solid victory over Berkshire in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, winning 52-39. Does Bristol have another victory up their sleeve, or will Berkshire turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
