Softball Recap: Calvert's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Calvert was riding high fresh off their 15-1 takedown of Vanlue last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Senecas fell just short of the Gibsonburg Golden Bears by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Senecas haven't had much luck with the Golden Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Calvert saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison King, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was King's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Calvert fell to 3-1. As for Gibsonburg, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Calvert has already played their next match (against St. Joseph Central Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Gibsonburg, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-6 win against Lakota on the 4th.
