It was a good run, but Reading Memorial unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Sunday. They fell just short of the Concord-Carlisle Patriots by a score of 6-5. Surprisingly, this marked the Rockets' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Reading Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 17-2. As for Concord-Carlisle, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Coming up, Reading Memorial will host Pentucket Regional at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Pentucket Regional will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Reading Memorial surely won't give up without a fight. As for Concord-Carlisle, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-2 loss against Westford Academy on the 26th.
