Softball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hayesville on Monday, Cherokee came back down to earth. The Braves lost 15-1 to the Swain County Maroon Devils on Friday. Braves fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Maroon Devils since on Friday.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Swain County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Swain County beat Cherokee by a score of 15-1 later that day.
