Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Kennedale walked away with it. They walked away with a 59-48 win over the Aubrey Chaparrals on Friday. The Wildcats are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.

Kennedale's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.2 points over those games. As for Aubrey, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-11.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats challenge the Panthers on Monday. Kennedale knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully North Lamar likes a good challenge. Aubrey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
