Basketball Game Preview: Melbourne Bulldogs vs. Eau Gallie Commodores

Melbourne and Eau Gallie are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Melbourne Bulldogs will square off against the Eau Gallie Commodores at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Melbourne lost to Bayside on the road by a 48-34 margin. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Bears: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Eau Gallie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by Palm Bay 93-10. The match marked the Commodores' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Melbourne's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Eau Gallie, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Things could have been worse for Melbourne, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-32 loss to Eau Gallie in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Melbourne avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
