Warren County's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Lincoln County on Tuesday. Everything went the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers' way against the Spring Hill Raiders as they made off with a 14-2 win. The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Ruby Denning was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lola Wells, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Ky Damon, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.
Warren County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spring Hill struck out six times.
Warren County's victory bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Spring Hill, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.
As of now, neither Warren County nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
