Basketball Recap: Pataula Charter Academy Starts Season with Win Against Grace Christian Academy

Pataula Charter Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 62-50 win over the Grace Christian Academy Cougars.

Pataula Charter Academy was led to victory by Doljhai Williams and Kylon Rainey. Williams almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds, while Rainey went 5-for-7 on his way to 14 points. Those 18 points gave Williams a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brenton Hanks, who posted seven points.

Grace Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Pataula Charter Academy will venture away from home to square off against Baker County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grace Christian Academy, they will welcome Miller County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
