Softball Recap: Naples Golden Eagles vs. Estero Wildcats

Naples was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 18-14 to the Estero Wildcats. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Naples got a good showing from Elle Gant, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, Gant didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Mary Mcmullin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassie Kramer, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
