Baseball Game Preview: East Robertson Indians vs. White House-Heritage Patriots

The East Robertson Indians will head out to face off against the White House-Heritage Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

East Robertson will head out to face White House-Heritage after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Indians fell just short of Carmel by a score of 5-4. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, White House-Heritage had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Wolves.

Caleb Cayce spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dane Hinshaw, who scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

White House-Heritage's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for East Robertson, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

East Robertson suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to White House-Heritage when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
