Torres has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on Madera South at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Madera South took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Torres, who comes in off a win.
In what's become a running theme this season, Torres gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They didn't even let Sanger West onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. That's two games straight that Torres has won by exactly three goals.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Alfonso Palacios and
Ray Saldana, who scored.
Meanwhile, Madera South didn't get the result they wanted in their first match with Fresno on Thursday. They will be looking for a result a little better than the 2-0 defeat they were dealt on Thursday when they meet later in the season. They have struggled against Fresno recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Torres' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 3.5 goals per game. As for Madera South, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4-5.
