Mastery is on a nine-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Palmyra an eight-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Mastery Warrior will be playing at home against the Palmyra Panthers at 3:45 p.m.
On Wednesday, Mastery came up short against Haddon Township and fell 5-1.
Mastery saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raul Basilio, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Basilio has hit this season.
Meanwhile, Palmyra got themselves on the board against Pennsauken Tech on Wednesday, but Pennsauken Tech never followed suit. They blew past Pennsauken Tech 10-0. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with Pennsauken Tech: they've now won four in a row.
Justin Dellisanti was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Declan Sharkey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Palmyra always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Palmyra's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Mastery, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mastery has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Palmyra struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Mastery was able to grind out a solid win over Palmyra in their previous meeting on Thursday, winning 9-4. Will the Warrior repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
