Basketball Recap: Pateros Takes Down Lummi in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pateros had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They managed a 51-47 win over the Lummi Blackhawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-46 back in January.

Pateros pushed their record up to 20-7 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.6 points on average over those games. As for Lummi, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-6.

Looking ahead, Pateros won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Waterville/Mansfield at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Waterville/Mansfield will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Pateros surely won't give up without a fight. Lummi does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
