Hayfield came tearing into  Monday's  match with seven straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Lewis Lancers 16-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season,  with their most recent  win being a  11-0  victory  back in April.
 Drew Olson was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Olson was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games he's  played.
 In other batting news, Hayfield let  Noah Laster and  Jacob Bueno run wild. Laster  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Bueno  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. Those  three  RBI gave  Laster a new career-high.  Connor Chan was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 Hayfield  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis didn't  got any hits.
Hayfield's win was  their seventh straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 16-5. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Lewis,  they are  on  a  14-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-14.
 Hayfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  an  8-2  win against Falls Church on the 20th. Lewis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
