Volleyball Recap: Stratford Prep's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After flying high against ACE Charter on Tuesday, Stratford Prep came back down to earth. The Lions lost 3-0 to the KIPP Navigate College Prep Tigers on Wednesday. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Stratford Prep couldn't get the win, but they sure gave KIPP Navigate College Prep a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-23, 25-12.

Siddhi Sabnis paced Stratford Prep's offense, picking up three kills. Sabnis were helped by Riana Parikh and Vanessa Wang, who contributed two assists each. Wang was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Natasha Isidro was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and two aces.

Stratford Prep's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for KIPP Navigate College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Stratford Prep and KIPP Navigate College Prep are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Lions will venture away from home to take on Pescadero at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for KIPP Navigate College Prep, they will take on The Kehillah School in a tournament on Monday.
