Recap: Spruce Timberwolves vs. Hillcrest Panthers
The Spruce Timberwolves waltzed into Friday's matchup with three straight wins but they left with four. They had just enough and edged Hillcrest out 35-32. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spruce to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaylon Warren, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Warren has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kelvin Jones, who threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes.
Hillcrest's loss came despite strong showings from Jacoby Ogbonna and Asher Randall. Ogbonna picked up 211 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Randall threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns. Ogbonna has been hot recently, having posted two or more receiving touchdowns the last three times he's played.
Spruce's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Spruce does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hillcrest also has no future games currently scheduled.
