East Dubuque is 8-2 against West Carroll since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warriors will host the Thunder at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in East Dubuque's favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while West Carroll has been banged up by 20 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

On Monday, East Dubuque was able to grind out a solid win over River Ridge/Scales Mound, taking the game 5-1.

Curin Oberman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Hannah Heitkamp was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Tierney Miller was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, West Carroll came up short against Oregon on Friday, falling 19-4.

East Dubuque has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Carroll, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.

Everything went East Dubuque's way against West Carroll in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as East Dubuque made off with a 13-1 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
