Basketball Recap: Perry Meridian Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Braydon Hohlt and Colton Barker

Perry Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Center Grove Trojans, falling 69-48. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.

Perry Meridian's loss came despite strong showings from Colton Barker and Braydon Hohlt. Barker posted eight points, while Hohlt put up eight points and three blocks. The dominant performance also gave Barker a new career-high in rebounds (four). Another player making a difference was Nique Ingram, who had seven points.

Even though they lost, Perry Meridian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Perry Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Center Grove, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Perry Meridian will challenge Indianapolis Scecina Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Center Grove, they will square off against Southport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
