Ethan Yielding led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Tremont is 3-1 when Yielding posts two or more runs, but 5-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Allen Sheffield, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Thrasher lost 15-1 to Falkner on Friday. The Rebels have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Thrasher saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Pace, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Thrasher's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Tremont, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tremont has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Thrasher struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
