Softball Recap: Clyde Has No Trouble Against Columbian

Clyde was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. Everything went their way against the Columbian Tornadoes as they made off with a 15-2 win. The Fliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Clyde and bumps their season record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Columbian, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-8.

Coming up, Clyde will challenge Shelby at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Fliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Whippets have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Columbian, they will face off against Colonel Crawford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
