Volleyball Recap: Skyridge Picks Up 11th Consecutive Victory

Skyridge strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Skyline Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Estelle Slaney had a dynamite game, getting 18 digs and four aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last eight contests.

Slaney wasn't the only good server: Skyridge was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 32 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Skyridge's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Skyridge will be playing in front of their home fans against American Fork at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Falcons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Skyline, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Mountain View on the 5th.
