Recap: Barron Collier Cougars vs. Naples Golden Eagles

Given Barron Collier's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while Naples is ranked 390th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

That makes it three consecutive games in which Clayton has scored at least a third of Barron Collier's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Ayers, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
Barron Collier pushed their record up to 14-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Naples, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

As for Naples, Naples and Cypress Lake will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
