Espanola Valley and Los Alamos are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2021, but not for long. The Espanola Valley Sundevils are taking a road trip to square off against the Los Alamos Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Los Alamos took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Espanola Valley, who comes in off a win.

Espanola Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Moriarty 59-23. The Sundevils have beaten the Pintos the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pintos has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Los Alamos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-38 heartbreaker at the hands of Moriarty. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Hilltoppers have suffered since January 9, 2024.

Los Alamos' loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Espanola Valley, they pushed their record up to 16-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Espanola Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Los Alamos in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 52-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Espanola Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
