Frankton comes up short despite Emma Sperry's dominant performance

Recap: Frankton Eagles vs. Pendleton Heights Arabians

The Frankton Eagles have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pendleton Heights. Frankton has struggled against Pendleton Heights recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Frankton still got an impressive performance from Emma Sperry, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. The contest was Sperry's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Hoagland, who scored seven points.

Kaycie Warfel was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with five steals for Pendleton Heights. Olivia Jones was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Frankton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Pendleton Heights, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 11-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frankton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tipton at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. Tipton comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Pendleton Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against New Palestine at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully New Palestine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
