Damonte Ranch and Douglas squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Damonte Ranch had to settle for second. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Samantha Peterson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Damonte Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Douglas, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Damonte Ranch is set to take on their familiar foe Galena at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Douglas will face off against rival Spanish Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
