Volleyball Recap: Sylvan-Lucas' Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sylvan-Lucas had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lakeside Knights. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Sylvan-Lucas took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14.

Sylvan-Lucas' win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Lakeside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Sylvan-Lucas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against St. John's/Tipton Catholic on the 27th. As for Lakeside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Logan/Palco on the 27th.
