Basketball Recap: Javen Sisneros' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pueblo East over Silver Creek

Pueblo East lost against Silver Creek back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles fell 53-40 to the Raptors.

Pueblo East's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javen Sisneros, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Enzo Pecoraro, who earned 12 points.

Silver Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Schmeeckle out in front who shot 50% from the field en route to 16 points and three steals. The contest was Schmeeckle's fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Blake Gorr also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Pueblo East's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Silver Creek, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, Pueblo East will square off against Harrison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Silver Creek, they will head out to square off against Hinkley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
