Soccer Recap: Fredericksburg Christian Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

It's playoff time, and Fredericksburg Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the St. Catherine's Saints on Monday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Fredericksburg Christian's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while St. Catherine's are ranked 87th).

Fredericksburg Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-1. As for St. Catherine's, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10-3.

Fredericksburg Christian didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against Norfolk Academy on the 13th. St. Catherine's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
