Basketball Recap: Eli Jaixen Key Part of a Team Effort in Rebels Win

On Friday, the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels got the win against the Nebraska Christian Eagles by a conclusive 54-28.

Arcadia/Loup City got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Eli Jaixen out in front who posted 17 points and six assists. Dom Barnes was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Jaixen wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Arcadia/Loup City was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nebraska Christian only racked up five assists.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Baron Falk, who had four points. Another player making a difference was Oliver Herman, who earned 11 points and seven rebounds.

Arcadia/Loup City's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Nebraska Christian, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13.

Arcadia/Loup City will challenge Central City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season. As for Nebraska Christian, they will take on Shelby-Rising City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
