Volleyball Recap: Marshall Beats Paris for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Marshall waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Paris Tigers. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (65-62) Marshall actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-17, 12-25, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Lilly Ross and Harper Richardson, who picked up 11 kills apiece. Richardson also shared the team's lead in assists with Addy Ross: they picked up 12 each. Richardson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Sara Staley and Paedyn Keys certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Staley had 15 digs and four assists, while Keys had eight digs and four aces.

Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Paris, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 15-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall will host Westville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Paris, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Chrisman at 7:00 p.m.
