Softball Game Preview: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Horizon Huskies

For the second straight game, Mountain Pointe will face off against Horizon. The Pride will be playing at home against the Huskies at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Pointe has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 15.

Last Tuesday, Mountain Pointe came up short against Horizon and fell 6-2.

For Horizon's part, the team relied heavily on Kaia Stephens, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs Stephens has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Holland Propp, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Horizon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain Pointe only posted a batting average of .214.

Horizon moved to 8-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Mountain Pointe, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16-1.
