Soccer Recap: Canandaigua Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Victor last Tuesday, Canandaigua Academy came back down to earth. The Gray Wolves fell just short of the Penfield Patriots by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Canandaigua Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 304th, while Penfield are ranked 87th).

Canandaigua Academy dropped their record down to 3-11 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Penfield, their win bumped their record up to 9-5-2.

Canandaigua Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Penfield, they will challenge Greece Arcadia at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Greece Arcadia will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Penfield surely won't give up without a fight.
