Basketball Recap: Groton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Timber Lake last Friday, Groton came back down to earth. The Groton Tigers fell just short of the Hamlin Chargers by a score of 44-41 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since December 8, 2023.

Groton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Groton and Sisseton will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamlin will take on Flandreau in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
