Preview: General McLane Lancers vs. Chautauqua Lake Thunderbirds
General McLane has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Chautauqua Lake Thunderbirds at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Chautauqua Lake took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on General McLane, who comes in off a win.
General McLane can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 63-38 margin over Fort LeBoeuf. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory General McLane has posted since December 12, 2023.
Meanwhile, Chautauqua Lake's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 67-33 defeat at the hands of Panama. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Chautauqua Lake has scored all season.
General McLane's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Chautauqua Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
General McLane was able to grind out a solid win over Chautauqua Lake in their previous matchup back in December of 2018, winning 84-75. Does General McLane have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chautauqua Lake turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
