Baseball Game Preview: Disney II Titans vs. Mather Rangers

Disney II hasn't had much luck against Mather recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Titans will take on the Rangers at 11:00 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Disney II lost 16-6 to Northside on Friday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Disney II saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marcus Grier, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Mather came up short against North Shore Country Day on Friday, falling 9-1. The loss was the Rangers' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mather fell to 3-1. As for Disney II, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Mather's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Disney II hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .385. It's a different story for Mather, though, as they've only averaged .248. Will they be able to contain Disney II's hitters?

Disney II might still be hurting after the 10-4 loss they got from Mather in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
