Hermitage's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Lafayette County Cougars with a sharp 17-2 victory. The Hermits might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by nine runs or more this season.

Hermitage has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Lafayette County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Hermitage will head out on the road to face off against Emerson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lafayette County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
