Baseball Game Preview: River View Panthers vs. Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars

River View is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Tri-Cities Prep is on a 15-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Panthers will host the Jaguars at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (River View 2.8, Tri-Cities Prep 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

River View's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Cle Elum-Roslyn as they made off with a 14-0 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four contests, Tri-Cities Prep finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell 4-0 to Liberty Christian. The match marked the first time this year in which the Jaguars were not able to get on the board.

Tri-Cities Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brycen Calderon, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

River View's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Tri-Cities Prep, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 17-1.
