Basketball Game Preview: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors vs. North Murray Mountaineers

The Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the North Murray Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe ended up a good deal behind Murray County and lost 62-44. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Indians are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, North Murray had to suffer through a 57-25 loss at the hands of Union County.

North Murray's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Everything came up roses for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe against North Murray when the teams last played back in January of 2022, as the team secured a 76-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
