Soccer Recap: St. Edmond Comes Up Short

St. Edmond lost against Ames back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gaels came up short against the Little Cyclones, falling 6-0. St. Edmond have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Edmond's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ames, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season.

St. Edmond will face off against Colfax-Mingo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ames, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 6-0 victory against Fort Dodge on the 11th.
