Softball Game Preview: Choate Rosemary Hall School Wild Boars vs. St. Paul's Big Red

The Choate Rosemary Hall School Wild Boars will face off against the St. Paul's Big Red at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Choate Rosemary Hall School sitting on five straight wins dating back to last season and St. Paul's on seven.

On Wednesday, Choate Rosemary Hall School was able to grind out a solid victory over Kingswood Oxford, taking the game 5-2.

Meanwhile, St. Paul's had just enough and edged out Phillips Academy 7-5 on Wednesday.

Heather Cotter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Charlotte Voge and Jade Hill did most of the damage at the plate: Voge went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while Hill got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

St. Paul's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Choate Rosemary Hall School, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
